150 Days of Reflection for Canada's 150th Birthday
/Hello,
My name is Maureen Bianchini-Purvis, Founder of No Stone Left Alone Memorial Foundation.
Starting today and for 150 days until November 11th, 2017 we will share with you the “words of our Canadian youth” on their reflections after participating in a No Stone Left Alone event in their city/community across Canada. I hope you will be encouraged, touched and surprised that a new generation of Canadians is beginning to understand the importance of Remembrance.
In 2016, No Stone Left Alone placed over 45,000 poppies, with the participation of 7,046 students, at 114 locations and with the help of over 2,300 proud volunteers. As we celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, let us all remember our fallen, our veterans, serving soldiers, and their families, to whom we owe a great deal of gratitude for our freedom and security.
Maureen Bianchini-Purvis
Founder and President
