Below are the instructions for planting your poppy flower seeds in honour of our veterans:

Planting Guidelines

  • Planting Depth: Surface Sow

  • Germination Temperature: 18-25 degrees Celsius

  • Germination Period: 10-15 days

  • Optimal Growth Temperature: 15-35 degrees Celsius

  • Light Requirements: Partial shade to full sun

  • Time from Sowing to Flowering: Approximately 60 days*

*This timeframe varies based on your growing zone, planting timing, and environmental conditions. Can also be planted in autumn for early displays. Spring germination takes 10-30 days, depending on soil and weather conditions.

Don't have a flower garden or place to plant the seeds? The seeds can also be planted in a pot and kept indoors! The key thing is watching the moisture levels and sun exposure.

Key Characteristics

  • Annual: Reaches up to 28 inches in height. The rich red hue is truly captivating! Prefers full sun exposure.

  • Plant Height: 12-30 inches

  • Light: Full sun/partial shade

When the poppies bloom, we encourage you to pause and pay tribute to our veterans or the individuals you planted these seeds in honour of.
